Brivali Poodles is a small, home-based breeder of standard poodles located in Tallahassee, Florida. Our dogs live in the home with us and are our family pets. Thus, we have a small program with few litters. With each planned breeding, we work to improve with the next generation, focusing on health, conformation, and temperament. Our main goal is to produce dogs that excel in the conformation ring. But, believing in the importance of having versatile dogs, we also train our dogs in agility, rally, and nose work. Some of our dogs would also make excellent service dogs and therapy dogs. Most importantly, we aim to raise dogs that are confident, happy family pets because we consider all of our dogs family members, first and foremost.
As with our adults, our puppies are also raised in our home. We practice puppy culture and firmly believe that early socialization and desensitization is paramount to raising a confident, well-rounded puppy. We start this process at a young age, with age-appropriate progression, to ensure that each pup gets the best start possible.
Consistent with The Poodle Club of America's recommendations, we conduct pre-breeding health clearances on our dogs. The test results are listed on our website under each dog, and this information may be verified on OFA's website. We strive to breed poodles that conform to The Poodle Club of America's breed standards. This means we do not support the cross-breeding of poodles with other breeds, nor do we support cross-breeding to create "merle poodles."
We welcome inquiries for show, performance, and companion homes. Unless sold as a show prospect, puppies will be AKC registered with "limited" papers. This will allow the puppy to be registered with AKC and participate in all events except conformation. "Full registration" is available for show prospects to approved homes. Puppies will be up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, and microchipped. We typically will have apricot, red, cream, and black puppies available. If you are interested in a puppy from a future litter, you can fill out an application to be placed on a wait list.
